here's a little morsel from the horror short we're working on...good thing we dug that grave before all the rain started...
"Although the ghoul is commonly misconstrued with the vampire and zombie, they are quite different in their details.
While the vampire feeds on blood and prefers living victims, the ghoul feeds on flesh and is perfectly satisfied with dead cadavers.
Zombies are reanimated from the dead. They are brainless and slow. The Ghoul, however, is very much alive, intelligent, resourceful and swift.
In North America, the ghoul is known to blend in with humans, living amongst them and dressing like them. Yet, their practices remain the same: grave robbing, necrophelia...
…and cannibalism. "
